This year, ASSIST FM created the Outstanding Culinary Skills Award - Petit Fours to showcase the professional skills of those working in the FM sector. For the Decorated Cake award, entrants were required to produce a single-tier celebration cake of any shape coated with sugar paste or rolled icing, decorative work on any theme permitted with the use of pastillage, moulded flowers or figures, royal icing. The judges were looking for a fantastic display of originality and decorative skill.
